Honoring Long Person is a way of recognizing the deep spiritual and cultural connection the Cherokee People have with the rivers and waterways. Long Person represents the living waters that sustain life. By coming together to clean and protect our rivers we honor this sacred relationship and help preserve their health and beauty for future generations.
